Existing/Experienced Fork Lift Truck Operator
Designed for:
Catering for candidates who have had some form of experience in regards of operating a fork lift truck.
Objectives:
On completion the trainee will be expected to have attained a level of operating skill that complies with the standard laid down by the Forum 2000 in accordance with the HSE Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L117.
Course Contents:
- Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- P.U.W.E.R 98 (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regs. 98)
- Operators safety code
- Principals of lifting
- Battery care / testing
- Stability factors
- Principals of the fork truck
- Steering operations (forward and reverse) & (confined areas)
- Picking up, setting down, transporting pallets / loads
- Stacking and destacking loads at various heights
- Daily maintenance checks
- Written & practical tests
