R.T.I.T.B Instructor Training
Designed For:
Experienced and qualified Lift Truck Operators and Instructors. Applicants must have qualified and obtained certification within the last 12 months.
Novice:
Catering for candidates seeking to become an RTITB registered instructor.
Previous fork lift experience required must have a current counterbalance certificate in the 12 months prior to the course start date. Refresher course is available prior to instructor course extending the course to 12 days if necessary.
Objectives:
On completion of the course the successful candidate will be qualified to teach and train on all Industrial Counterbalance and Reach trucks for which they are certificated themselves

Principles of instruction
Instructional techniques
HASAWA 1974/PUWER 1998/LOLER 1998/L117/HSG6/RTITB Training Recommendations and Trainers Guide
Setting up courses
Administering the tests etc
All original documentation supplied by examining body and HSE.
Duration:
3 & 5 days for Re-qualification or Re-certification
10-12 days for the full instructor training course
Notes:
Trainee / instructor ratio maximum 6:1-1
Location:
All training/testing carried out at the training centre. Testing by R.T.I.T.B. examiners.
